New Scoreboard for Midlakes Water Polo

 For all the years
that Midlakes Water Polo has existed we have never had a scoreboard that
covers all vital information. There have been numerous methods/inventions to
display the scores at the various clubs over the years. Shall I share a few?
Let's start with the yellboard. You know, "Hey! What's the score?", "6 to 5", "Who's ahead?", "Blue". How about the various forms of the flip chart: Full page notebook with plastic sleeves, or better yet, full page notebook with no plastic sleeve that lasted a week. The vinyl custom table flipchart. The PVC hanging table display with custom numbers flipchart. I know I've only scratched the surface. All of that is about to change. We wanted to get the integrated jumbotron with live video feed/scoreboard providing instant replay for ref booing and cheesy pictures of players off the roster, but it just wasn't quite in the budget, nor could it fit in most of our cars. Instead, witness above the new scoreboard with clock, scores and periods. A jumbotron it is not, but a significant improvement for the league nonetheless. This scoreboard also comes with a 4 foot tall portable stand to get it off the table and the deck. We expect our new scoreboard to show up on Monday the 18th, just in time for Championship week. The clock that we have shared with Newport Hills/Newport HS has served us well, but needs a face lift. The league has purchased this outright and therefore could not afford the shot clocks at this time as well. We will be looking into some kind of an asset sharing situation so that we can get shot clocks and recoup some money. Enjoy the new clock, and remember, be nice to the official table. |
