12's off to a competitive start

The
12&u's kicked off the season with games today at Overlake and Newport Hills.
This is an exciting age group where kids that were just learning the game last
year in the 10's get to use all their newly acquired skills against stronger
talent. Norwood, Beach Club and Samena are all off to a strong start in 2003.
Norwood is stacked with talent and is the only club with an A & B team in the
age group. The A team won their first game easily 13 - 3. Another team that
pulled off two close wins was Mercer Island Beach Club with 12 - 11 and 11 - 8
victories. Samena looks to be all the competition will be able to handle in
Division 2, taking their first game 16-0. Another Division 2 team that had a
strong showing was MICC with a strong 8 - 1 win.
