 Through
the years the Midlakes Swim League has produced some outstanding athletes. A
few have combined both athleticism and character unique in the community.
There is no greater example than Gary Haslam, or as we knew him at the
Edgebrook club, "The Haz". Big in stature, enormous talent, and always a
pleasure to be around. The Haz was never without a smile and a laugh, yet a
tenacious competitor. He embodied what we value most in the Midlakes Water
Polo League. This award was named in his honor after losing Gary to cancer
much too early in life. Read about Gary as told by his parents...
